Jaco’s nightlife is world famous, and one of many reasons that this bustling beach town has become the most popular destination in all of Costa Rica!
While most of the countries beach bars seem to close down or die out at night, it seems that the night time is when Jaco really comes alive. Jaco is now only 1hr 20 minutes hours from San Jose, making it the closest and easiest to reach Beach Town from the airport in San Jose (SJO)
While there are many negative reports about Jaco’s past, a lot has been improved in the last 2 years. The addition of a very strict Municipality Police force, cleaning up of the streets and surrounding areas, and overall improvements to protect tourist’s interests have made Jaco an even better and ideal destination.
